Construction begins on Wild Center’s “Wild Walk”

Work has started on the Wild Walk.

The project at The Wild Center in Tupper Lake opens next year on the Fourth of July, the museum’s nine-year anniversary.

The Adirondack Daily Enterprise reports the project includes several platforms with suspension bridges and walkways connecting all of them.

Wild Center staff plan on lining the platforms with educational exhibits.

Several paths lead to foundations that ultimately support six sets of steel pillars. They may rise 40 feet above the forest floor in a teepee shape.
