It may be hard to believe, but this coming Saturday is the 4th of July. Law enforcement in Franklin County is participating in the statewide July Fourth Crackdown enforcement campaign, aimed at stopping drunk driving. You will see increased enforcement with zero tolerance. Police say if you are caught drinking and driving, you will be pulled over and you will be arrested. Designate a sober driver before heading out. If you see a drunk driver on the road, call 911. If you have a friend who is about to drink and drive, take the keys away and make arrangements to get your friend home safely. Don’t lose your independence on Independence Day.
