PHASE 4 BEGINS TODAY BUT STILL MUCH WILL REMAIN CLOSED

Beginning today, gatherings of up to 50 people are allowed once again here in the North Country region, and houses of worship can allow a few more people inside too.
As part of Phase 4 reopening, social gatherings can now include up to 50 people, double the 25 people permitted by Governor Andrew Cuomo’s controversial executive orders in Phase 3. Churches, synagogues and mosques can allow up to 33% occupancy, up from 25% allowed in Phase 2. Today the seven-county North Country region joins Central New York, the Finger Lakes, the Mohawk Valley and the Southern Tier in Phase 4 reopening. Malls, movie theaters, performance theaters, gyms and bowling alleys remain closed.
