State Troopers answered a call from Wal-Mart in Plattsburgh for a report of a shoplifter. They say 32 year old Christina Nasti of Esopus, concealed numerous consumable goods valued at a little over $1,100 and left the store without paying for them… while she had a 4-year-old child with her. Nasti was arrested and charged with Grand Larceny, and then released with an appearance ticket returnable to the Plattsburgh Town Court. That was around 7 last Saturday night. But then… later that same evening… just after 10… State Police got a call from Sweet Frog in Plattsburgh about a child that had been left alone inside the store. Soon, it was learned that Nasti was at it again… this time, leaving the child in the store with an employee. Nasti was arrested again, and this time, she was charged with Endangering the Welfare of a Child. Once again, under New York’s controversial new bail reform law, she was released with yet another appearance ticket.
