CANADIAN GOVERNMENT CHARTERS PLANE TO HANOI

The Canadian government has chartered a plane to Hanoi, Vietnam in order to evacuate more than 300 Canadians who remain in Wuhan. When the Canadians arrive back here, they will be housed at Forces Base Trenton in Ontario for a 14-day quarantine period. They needed to get special dispensation to fly there too, because the airspace in Wuhan is closed. Officials say also, that if more Canadians want to return home, the government has a second plane ready to evacuate any remaining citizens… but if a passenger shows symptoms before getting on the plane, that person will not be allowed to fly back to Canada. So far, almost 400 people have died from the disease and China says almost 20,000 have been infected. Those numbers however, are suspected by many to actually be underreported.
