CANADIAN SCHOOLS COULD STRIKE WEDNESDAY

If teachers strike Wednesday, there will be no classes in the Upper Canada District School Board. In fact, all high school classes will be cancelled on Wednesday if teachers walk the picket lines as planned. The Ontario Secondary School Teachers’ Federation is planning a one-day strike if the union is unable to reach a deal in its ongoing negotiations with the province before tomorrow. If that strike occurs, all secondary schools in the Upper Canada District School Board will be affected. There will be no classes, planned activities, co-operative education placements or extracurriculars for students in Grades 9 to 12 on Wednesday if a strike occurs. However, schools will remain open for students in other grades. Only high schools will be affected.
