Governor announcing pavement projects after extreme winter

Gov. Andrew Cuomo has announced the state will spend $128 million repave roads that have been impacted by this winter’s extreme conditions. The money will go toward 91 paving projects and the renewal of about 1,000 lane miles of pavement across the state. About $8.6 million will be directed to North Country projects, including $1.8 million to resurface route 3 from the Franklin Town Line to Pive Grove Lane in Franklin County. Cuomo says the investment will make state highways safer and more efficient. The projects are expected to begin this spring.
