DRUNK WOMAN PLOWS INTO SNOWPLOW TRUCK

A two vehicle crash on State Route 86 between Lake Placid and Wilmington, involved a New York State Department of Transportation plow truck, and a drunk woman. State Police say 50 year old Robin Anthony of Wilmington was driving a pickup truck east on State Route 86… behind several other vehicles that were all following a plow truck driven by 24 year old Lukas Matthews of Tupper Lake, when Anthony pulled out to pass on the left. She got by two other vehicles and was just beginning to pass the plow truck, when the truck slowed down and turnd. As it did, Anthony’s vehicle collided with it. Anthony was not hurt, but she was arrested for DWI. As she was being processed, troopers learned that she had a previous DWI conviction in August 2010 in the village of Lake Placid. Anthony refused testing to determine her blood alcohol content, and then was charged with Felony DWI, and ticketed for refusal to submit to a breath test, and unsafe passing. Both the driver of the truck, and a passenger in that plow truck, 31-year-old Mark Denton of Jay, were injured.
